How these plans apply to recruiting

The plans describe the size of the effort, not a fixed menu. In the first conversation we agree the recruiting scope that fits your plan and write it down.

As a rough guide to how owners use them:

  • Growth suits a shop hiring for one or two roles at a time: rewritten job ads, a compact careers section and steady monthly reporting.
  • Elite suits a company running recruiting alongside customer marketing, or hiring across several roles with recruiting campaigns on more than one channel. The website design discount helps if your current site can't host a proper careers section.
  • Enterprise suits larger employers that want a dedicated team, an ongoing apprentice pipeline and a new website built as part of the plan.

These are suggestions, not rules. A small shop with an urgent, hard-to-fill role may need more effort for a few months, then step down.

What drives the cost

Four things decide how much work recruiting takes:

  1. Number of roles. Each role needs its own posting, page and creative.
  2. Difficulty of the role. A licensed, experienced technician is harder to reach than an entry-level helper, and usually needs paid campaigns rather than job boards alone.
  3. State of your website. If there is no place to host a careers section, building one comes first.
  4. How much you want to run yourself. Some owners want us to write and hand over; others want everything managed.

Ad and job-board spend is a separate line, paid directly by you. We'll suggest a test budget based on what the vacancy costs you, and you approve it.

Working out whether it's worth it

Use the empty-seat sum. Take the revenue one fully booked truck brings in over a month, multiply by your gross margin, and that is roughly what an unfilled seat costs you. Use your own figures; we don't supply wage or revenue numbers.

For example, with placeholder numbers: a truck that would bring in $25,000 a month at 40% margin is worth about $10,000 a month in margin. Against that, a Growth plan plus a modest test ad budget is easy to judge. If you aren't turning away work, recruiting marketing may not be your priority yet, and we'll tell you so.

Questions to ask any recruiting vendor about price

Whether you choose us or someone else, ask these before you sign:

  • Is there a placement fee per hire? Recruiters often charge one; we don't.
  • Who pays the ad spend, and into whose account? It should be your account.
  • What happens to the pages and accounts if we leave? They should stay with you.
  • How is a "result" defined? Clicks are cheap; phone screens and interviews are what matter.
  • What is the notice period? Ours is 30 days.

HST, billing and ownership

  • Prices are in Canadian dollars. Ontario clients add 13% HST (CRA rates, checked 2026-10-23).
  • You own every account, page, photo and file we produce for you.
  • If you leave, nothing is held back: accounts stay in your name and pages stay on your site.

Frequently asked questions

Is ad spend included in the plan price?

No. Job-board fees and ad spend are paid by you, directly to the platforms, in accounts you own. Our fee covers planning, writing, building, managing and reporting.

Is there a contract?

Plans are month-to-month with no long-term contract. You can cancel with 30 days' notice. Annual billing lowers the monthly price if you prefer to commit.

Is the first consultation free?

Yes. Eligible trades businesses get a free 30-minute initial consultation, separate from the paid plans.

Do you charge per hire?

No. We aren't a recruiter, so there are no placement fees and nothing is charged to candidates. You pay the plan fee for the work we do.

Are prices in Canadian dollars?

Yes. All prices are in Canadian dollars, and Toronto clients add Ontario's 13% HST.
